2014 Motorcycle Podcast Episodes
Adventure Rider Radio Motorcycle Podcast
2014 was our inaugural year for ARR, and what a learning curve! Sometimes it’s tough for us to go back and listen to these early episodes when we were still finding the rhythm of ARR. Fortunately, we had some top guests who believed in us, we stuck at it even though it wasn’t seeing a profit yet, and we spent untold hours working to improve our skills in finding stories, editing and audio production. And even now that ARR is the most listened-to podcast of it’s kind, we still strive to make each episode better than the last.
We keep these archived episodes online for you to enjoy. If you like what you hear, we’d love to have your support for ARR. Right from the beginning we knew we planned on limiting advertisements, and we’re particular about the advertisers we do have on the show. Because of that we refuse many off topic advertising requests and we only have a handful of advertisers that we feel proud to be associated with. We’ve built the show on a model of some quality advertising and much appreciated listener support to create the best motorcycle podcast we can. We have some dedicated advertisers, but we also need your support to help keep ARR coming to you.

After facing a crossroads in his personal life and selling everything he owns, he rode his BMW 62,000 miles through 35 countries, experiencing both highs and lows during his adventure. He then chronicles his journey in his new book “Forks: A Quest for Culture, Cuisine and Connection”. Host, Jim Martin, asks Allan to explain how he came about writing a book about motorcycles and food. Believe it or not, there is a connection.

Starting out on her bicycle, she got part way through her trip before she was the victim of an armed robbery. She returned home, but not feeling defeated she was able to purchase a used BMW F650GS Dakar, learned to ride and then Jo began her journey again andtravelled over 45,000 km through 28 countries in just 18 months. But, she hasn’t stopped there. She is now training for her next challenge… well tune in to hear all about it. An inspiring story of determination and perseverance, join show host Jim Martin, as Jo regales us about her many adventures in Africa.
