Brian Rix & Shirley Hardy-Rix

Since their first motorcycle ride from England to Australia through Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Shirley and Brian have ridden more than 170,000 kilometres through 68 countries over six continents. In 2003 they took a ‘grown-ups’ gap year and hit the road. The 12-month ride across the world just whetted their appetites for two-up adventures on two wheels. 

When Brian retired in 2011 they shipped the bike to South America and rode from the bottom of South America to Alaska with a lap of western Europe and southern Africa before heading home. In 2015 the call of the road beckoned again, this time taking them from Greece to Nordkapp, the northern most point in Europe, across western Russia, central Asia and Siberia to Vladivostok.
