What’s the difference between motorcycle touring and adventure riding? When you have no set plans and don’t fit in to the norm for official requirements, what do you do? And when you have no mechanical knowledge, and getting a motorcycle serviced on a trip could present some problems, do you carry your own diagnostic tools? All this and more, with Jim, Shirley, Brian, Graham, Grant and Sam on ARR RAW.

RAW LISTENER QUESTIONS:

Have a question for the RAW panel? Send it to us here.

Shaun Gibbons: What’s the difference between Touring and Adventure Riding?*

Kevin Ferriter: How does a rider who is traveling overland and may not have hotel reservations (by nature of traveling overland will not have air tickets) get a visa when both items are listed as mandatory. And how often is this an issue?*

Oskar Verkamman:  I have no mechanical skills whatsoever. A BMW is full of electronics and computers. Would be interesting to hear from the panel if they think it would make sense to bring along a diagnostic tool like the HEX Code GS-911. With such a tool at least I can do diagnostic and parcel in the relevant spare part. What do you guy's think?*
