56: Across The Finish Line - Ryan Pyle, Jonathan Gibson, Valerie Thompson

Adventurer / Presenter / Producer / Photographer

Ryan has finished his circumnavigation of Brazil for his upcoming series TOUGH RIDES Brazil.

Ryan Pyle is an adventurer, television presenter, producer, public speaker and award-winning photographer. His career has spanned over a decade in some of the most exciting places on the planet. Ryan strives to shed light on locations and situations that are often kept in the dark.

Prior to 2010 Ryan was an award-winning photographer for magazines like the New York Times, TIME, Newsweek and Fortune.

Since then, he has enhanced his story-telling abilities by making adventure travel television programs that take place in remote parts of the world. Ryan is available for lectures, public speaking, television interviews and everything in-between.

Ryan is currently a regular contributor to the world’s major international publications, such as: Time, Newsweek, Fortune, Forbes, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Spiegel, and the Sunday Times Magazine. During the last nine years, while pursuing journalism stories in some of the most interesting corners of China, he has built up a significant amount of “on the ground” experience that has transferred well into television and the academic community.

Jonathan Gibson

“The planned route from Sydney to London. January 2014 until whenever”. And at last his journey has come to an end, and we know that ’whenever’ is July 19, 2015. Jonathan travelled solo for a year and a half on his 1969 Royal Enfield Bullet starting out in Sydney and ending at the Ace Cafe in London.

Last December, we aired an interview with Jonathan in Mumbai, India, when he shared his adventures with us till that point. Now, Jonathan tells us the rest of his story from London, UK as he gets ready to pack it all up and ship his bike and himself back to Australia, home to share his tales with family and friends at last. Congratulations, Jonathan at reaching your goal and completing your journey!
