It was something he dreamed of doing, something on his bucket list. Brett Anderson was going to ride his motorcycle to Ushuaia one day, perhaps in retirement when he had more time. Brett had a busy life filled with outdoor pursuits such as hiking, running, motorcycling, and he also worked as an international commercial airline pilot. He was active, physically fit and busy. Then suddenly he got sick and everything changed when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. But rolling over and accepting defeat is not Brett Anderson, in fact that diagnosis was what fuelled Brett to focus on his bucket list - Ushuaia by motorcycle.

Images Below: European leg of The Last Big Ride. That is where the concept was actually conceived. Brett had a 2003 Yamaha FJR 1300 that he had bought in Ireland before he got sick. Once he got my diagnosis, he wanted to ride it through Europe and spent July and part of August doing so. Unfortunately, the bike was stolen and trashed in Edinburgh when he and his wife were going to ride the Scottish Highlands.

I mean it. I have gone back to 2014, in the Podcast Nation archives, and started listening to all of your shows. There are many brilliant interviews that have led me to buy books and subscribe to YouTube channels but none have moved me like this interview did.
