Kathleen Terner calls herself a ‘typical middle-aged woman’. She’s a high school math teacher, but she’s anything but typical. When Kathleen first got on a motorcycle with her future husband, she instantly fell in love with riding and she spent four years on the back of his bike, until the relationship ended. Although she had endured what was an abusive relationship, her love for motorcycling didn’t wane and she was determined to still ride and take cross-country trips, so she got her motorcycle license and bought a bike.

In 2020, after the divorce and recovering from throat cancer, Kathleen decided to to ride from Oregon to Washington, DC to visit her son, a trip that would change her life as she overcame her fear of being alone and the limitations that caused her to doubt herself. She turned her motorcycle in to the wind and discovered that life was good.

Kathleen’s book is called Two-Wheeled Wind Therapy and is available through Road Dog Publications, on Amazon and in book stores.
