A household name in adventure motorcycling, Charley Boorman has been riding motorcycles for most of his life. He’s best known for his part in the series Long Way Round in which he and Ewan McGregor have an epic motorbike adventure. It’s a film that has gained an almost cult like following and has been the inspiration for countless motorcyclists everywhere. And recently Charley completed a secret adventure that he’s not supposed to talk about…

Charley Boorman started acting when he was a child and it was later in his film career that he met Ewan McGregor. In 2004, Charley and Ewan did a motorcycle trip from London to New York, which you may know as Long Way Round. The trip was a worldwide success, which was presented in a book, television series and on DVD. 

In 2006, Charley competed in the Dakar Rally, which was filmed as the popular Race to Dakar TV series, the story was published in a book and on DVD.

The following year, Charley and Ewan did another motorcycle adventure trip, this time known as Long Way Down, where they travelled from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa.

Charley has since travelled solo around the world and now leads motorcycle tours in Australia, South America and South Africa.
