There are an endless amount of spectacular motorcycle routes all around the world, and choosing which one to ride on your next adventure can be overwhelming, especially if you are limited by time. So, we asked the panel to suggest what they think are some of the best routes in world to ride in less than a week, when to go and what skill levels are required.
NW 500 Route in Scotland (Sam Manicom)
A route of just over 500 miles. The loop around northern Scotland includes stunning coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, stunning mountains, tiny remote fishing villages, Scottish history and so much more.
It’ll take 7 days – 6 if you rush a bit. Some roads are small and there are so many ‘must stop’ view points and small villages to see.
Technically begins in the city of Inverness. Not really an International airport – hop from London airports.
Best time to go. Late April May – less people and less midges. But in truth, any time other than winter!
Hazards. Narrow roads and camper vans with clueless drivers. Excellent whisky tasting opportunities!
