Cooking on Multi-Day Trips - Afan Pašalić

I'm an avid motorcyclist who embarks on week-long trips at least once a year. While I enjoy cooking at home, I've never quite taken to the idea of cooking at a campground. Many riders carry a full kitchen with pots, pans, cutting boards, gas stoves, silverware, spices, and more. In contrast, I tend to pack just a few pouches of fish and a bag of freeze-dried food as a backup. I also bring along coffee and tea, plus a JetBoil. For dinner, I often stop by a gas station or store before reaching the campground to buy my meal. If I bought chili or soup, or something else warm, I would store it in a food Thermos. I would buy a beer or two and pour it in another Thermos to keep it cold for a while - learned the trick from Sterling Noren. This approach spares me the need to wash cookware, a task I'd rather avoid at the end of a long riding day. I've seen other riders cooking eggs, veggies, pasta, etc. and wondered what they do with leftovers. Is it practical to carry these items to the next day, or do they go to waste? Given my passion for food, I'm always curious about different approaches.

Protecting Gear While Hiking - Afan Pašalić

I use hard side bags, a top case, and also carry a dry bag on the pillion seat, as well as a tank bag. However, I've often hesitated to leave my bike for a few hours to go hiking, explore a city, or relax on a beach due to concerns about theft. During these pissed-off moments, I would always start thinking whether it would be simpler and more beneficial to use a car instead of a motorcycle. How do you and your group manage this concern?
