If you could go back in time and give yourself some nuggets of information about travel, what would that be? And have you ever found yourself fully packed to go on a trip to only look behind you and see more gear you missed, but there’s no space left on the bike? The panel has got you covered with some great tips that will make all the difference on your next adventure.

Time Travel:
What advice would you give your younger traveling self in hindsight?

LISTENER QUESTIONS

Kevin Ferriter:  (Edited) The topic is around packing. I've listened to multiple presentations and have sat in [on] the course at Overland Expo East, but I still am not confident that I understand how people pack their motorcycles. I see the mounds of stuff and have no idea how it fits.
I've been "fortunate" that I've either been on trips where others didn't want to camp (so no need to carry the camping gear) or we did camp but they wanted to stop local for food (so no kitchen gear or food). And always short 2-3 day trips. Never felt like I couldn't figure it out. And always thought if I needed more, I'm screwed.
I'd really like to know how the co-hosts pack for an extended trip. And how much space they use to pack that in.
Clearly there are certain parts of the world where they don't camp because the cost of a hotel is so inexpensive (that will lead to my next question). How do you find a hotel that is cheep and still livable?

Brian Grohs: Do you bring or display a lucky Talisman on your travels?
