Motorcycle Travel Discussions with some of the world’s most experienced moto adventurers and authors. On this episode the hosts have to pull together to find the missing Grant first. Then they discuss multi climate moto clothing, adventure snobs, automatic transmission motorcycles, language barriers, and micro adventure trips. And all the while, Jim faces his own challenges at the recording end of RAW. Funny, entertaining and educational!

RAW LISTENER QUESTIONS:

RAW Listener: John Chellew
Question: I was just wondering what everyone wears on their multi climate long distance touring i.e. Jacket, pants, gloves, boots, helmets, base/mid layers, heated gear etc. (inc brand).

RAW Listener: Chris Hall
Question: It seems that some travelers, moto or otherwise, love to criticise another's adventure. Love to hear from the group on what they think of "adventure snobbery" if you like.

RAW Listener: David Morieson
Question: What are your thoughts on Automatic [transmission] motorcycles [in the adventure and sport market]?

RAW Listener: Brian Halbleib
Question: This year I am riding down into Mexico. I don’t speak Spanish very well beyond some basics and I was curious how you all have handled the language barrier in foreign countries. I have heard the Point It book is a useful tool. Any other tips for travel into Mexico would be welcome and appreciated.

RAW Listener: Dave Hawkins
Question: What do you make of 'micro-adventures' and other short trips into the outdoors? It's not the same as overlanding, but it's a great way to fit adventure into your normal routine and to learn the ropes. For me it's a great way to get more people out there! But would love to know what seasoned overlanders make of it.

RAW Listener: Rocky Mountain Adventure Bike Touring Company (Alan)
Question: If BMW didn't make motorcycles (or in the Case of GF Kawasaki/KLR) what would you all be riding, and it doesnt have to be new!!
